Quite a few of us are constantly being reminded of how old we are by the saggy, bags under our eyes. We buy all kinds of products, creams, serums, gels, but nothing seems to eliminate them.
The pressure to look younger today is so great, celebrities are having costly surgeries to bring back their youth. Many of us can't afford such procedures so we buy retail products like creams and serums, which aren't guaranteed to work. But there are some remedies you can try at home to treat dark eye circles.
For starters, try transforming your bad habits into better, healthier ones. If you're serious about your skin care, a strict regimen of healthy behavior is important. Over the course of our lives, we abuse the body's ability to repair itself from harmful toxins and substances. Your health routine is a way of helping your skin stay healthy for as long as possible. Each day you practice your health routine, you'll be adding to your skin's overall life.
Here is a short list of things you can do on your own or find in your home to incorporate into your daily routine to help reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes:
Grate a cucumber and squeeze juice into a cup. Dip 2 cotton balls into juice and place one over each eye for about 15 minutes.
Use a potato in the same process.
Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night.
In a bowl mix lemon juice paste, tomato puree, orange lentil flour (masoor dal) and turmeric powder.
Apply with a qtip to dark circles, leave on for 15 minutes, and then wash off completely.
Stay away from bleaches and peels that claim to lighten skin.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
Find ways to reduce stress like practicing yoga.
In the morning, tap the skin under your eyes lightly with 1 or 2 fingers. This will increase blood flow.
Don't scratch the skin under your eyes. If you have to, lightly dab it with some cold water.
Dip 2 cotton balls in rose water and lightly dab around your eyes.
Place 2 cold cucumber slices over your eyes.
Our bodies are sensitive and respond quickly to changes in levels of vitamins and minerals. So try focusing on practicing a healthy diet and if you decide to use a cream or serum to clear dark circles, make sure those products contain natural ingredients.
I encourage you to try these at home and you'll find your dark circles will disappear over time and your face will become brighter, healthier and younger looking! - 16004
