Houston Breast Enhancement

By Andrew W John

There are many different reasons for a woman to be interested in breast augmentation. This particular type of surgery may be contemplated because the woman has breasts which are different from each other in size or not shaped how she would like them to be. Her breasts may be the feature of her body which she has never felt confident about and the thought of augmentation would make her feel so much more secure. Quite often women who have been unfortunate enough to suffer with breast cancer and as a result have had some tissue removed wish to get their breasts augmented. The results of such surgery can have a very impressive outcome on both the appearance and the emotional attitude of the woman who has undergone the surgery.

One of the first things to think about when considering breast augmentation is what shape the woman would like the implants to be. In today's modern world we have moved on a great deal from the standard silicone implants which were used years ago. The implants available today work out a little more costly but due to the fact that they are taller than they are wide, the fullness they have gives a much more overall natural appearance.

Similarly, a woman will also need to consider which incision she wants to use to put the implant in. In this, she has three choices. The inframammary crease occurs in the crease where the breast meets the lower chest is about an inch and a half long and is well hidden. The periareolar incision will be placed where the skin changes from being nipple to breast, and a "pocket" is made for the implant; with this incision, the implant can be placed underneath the muscle. The axillary incision, where the cut is placed in the armpit, can be used to place the implant directly above or below the muscle, but it can be a little difficult to place the implant due to the distance between the incision and where the implant is supposed to go.

The size of the implants and the finished look need to be considered too. You need to be frank about your needs at this point. Do you want to look sleek in a symmetrical way or perhaps you would like to be curvier? Two women can wear similar shaped implants and look completely different. so once you know your goals you will be able to choose the appropriate implant shape and size for your body.

Of course, all of these subjects will be discussed in depth with your surgeon prior to your breast augmentation. With several extremely good practices in Houston, Texas, if you carry out some research, you are certain to find exactly what you are looking for. - 16004
