How to Get Abs The Wrong Way

By Jose Loni

The question that is always asked is, "How to get abs that look great?" The media always advertise fad diets, ab machines and exercises that promise you abs that look great. The problem with those ads are that they don't work and are not effective at burning fat. To get abs that look great, you must increase your body's metabolic activity by regular exercise and healthy eating habits.

There are so many diets, exercise machines and ab routines that are advertised, each guaranteeing fantastic results, but they are not effective. Some exercises and machines focus the training on the abs themselves to give you ripped abs, while others advertise taking oral supplements to give you that six-pack stomach.

In order to increase our metabolism through exercise, we must increase our lean body mass. To increase our lean body mass, resistance exercises will help our body burn fat. The resistance training will help our body to burn calories and burn excess body fat.

Resistance training helps us develop and sculpt our body as well as help increase our muscle activity. With increased muscle activity, it promotes further fat burning throughout the body to help fuel the physical activity.

Training with intervals forces our body to adapt to the anaerobic demands of the activity. The increased demands on the muscles causes the body to increase its metabolism and break down fat to provide energy to the muscles. The muscles use so much energy that it has fat burning effect well after the training session has ended.

Watching our diet is another factor we need to consider. We need to avoid sugary snacks, fast food, fatty processed foods and sodas. By increasing our intake of lean protein and complex carbohydrates, we can monitor the calories we take in and help our body to expend more calories than we take in.

Eating several small meals (5-6) per day will help to keep our energy levels stable and keep our blood sugar from fluctuating up or down too much. We can also help fuel our physical activity and optimize our exercise sessions to help burn excess body fat.

There are certain ways of doing things, the right way and the wrong way. By understanding the concepts of increasing your metabolism and monitoring what you eat, we can achieve defined abs the right way. - 16004
