Leisure Trampolines: Time To Bounce Your Way To Weight Loss!

By Jane Bracken

You've probably thought of this before while watching another news report on why you should work out more: I would work out all the time if I could do something fun like jumping on a trampoline like when I was a kid. Well, why don't you! Pull out that trampoline, get bouncing, and watch yourself get in the best shape of your life, all while having the time of your life.

The first question everyone seems to want to ask when finding out about a new workout is "How many minutes do I have to do this?" Well, that attitude is destined for failure. You should worry less about 'having' to work out and more about what will get me the best results. Focus on results and choose a fun activity, and you will stop thinking of the work out as an obligation and begin thinking of it as a game.

The leisure trampoline is still only a gateway to good health and weight loss. As with any other piece of exercise equipment, itas only a tool. Nevertheless, the trampoline is a good tool- that is, if you keep using it. Repetition is important.

So you are ready to bounce your way to a lean body every day, but are still curious about how long you should be bouncing. Well, your body doesn't start burning fat during an aerobic workout until after 30 minutes. This means that for the first half hour your body is only burning existing energy stores, and thus not doing anything other than making you a little bit hungrier. In order to maximize your trampoline work out, then, you should bounce for a minimum of one hour every day. Not 30 minutes twice a day. One hour once a day. Though, of course, if you wanted to do one hour twice a day and double your work out that would be fine as well.

So no the leisure trampoline is not a magic device that lets you get in shape without having to work out. That equipment doesn't exist anywhere. No matter what type of work out you select, you only see progress if you put the time in consistently every single day. Those 5 minute a day advertisements you see are just lies trying to scam you out of some money. If you persevere and put in the hour every day, that means your body is mobilizing and burning fat for a solid 30 minutes. There is no way you won't see results that way. And come on, when you were a kid you could spend many hours on that thing, so just have fun on it.

After a month or so of doing an hour a day, you probably are going to start feeling like the leisure trampoline is too easy. Well, you can fix that. The best way is to keep going longer. Every week add a few more minutes to the workout, and you will continue to increase your health and increase your fat burning capabilities.

The one caution that must be brought up though is safety. When working out, no matter what activity, safety should always be a priority. With leisure trampolines that rule is no different. The longer your workout, the more prone your body is to having an accident or an injury. So, first, always listen to your body. If you feel like you shouldn't go any longer, then maybe it is time to take a breather. And with leisure trampolines, you have to take special care to make sure you don't fall off the edge or twist an ankle by landing on the metal springs.

If you keep your wits about you and stay diligent, though, safety should not be a problem. One of the best ways to ensure safety, and also make the workout more exciting and enjoyable, is to include a friend as an exercise partner. They can be there to make sure you stay safe and also push you to work out a little bit harder. So there you have it. By just having a bit of fun bouncing on a leisure trampoline for an hour a day you too can see your body become lean and defined. You will feel better, and all that fun can only make you happier to boot! - 16004
