Need An Excessive Sweating Treatment? Here Are 5 Killer Ones!

By R. Muldrake

If you're looking for an excessive sweating treatment, you're not on your own, over 8 million Americans have to deal with the same problem. This problem is known as hyperhidrosis, a fancy term for sweating excessively.

Don't sweat it though because I've come across some great strategies to fight this thing. If you feel you've tried everything and nothing has worked for you, here are some new solutions you have to try out:

1. Say No To Coffee!

One powerful excessive sweating treatment is to simply lay off the coffee. Coffee is full of caffeine and sugar, two things which elevate your heart rate, make you more anxious and inevitably cause you to sweat a lot more.

In today's coffee culture, this is a tip which can work wonders for you if you frequent Starbucks.

2. Stop Drinking Alcohol

Ya, I'm sure you didn't want to hear that, but the fact of the matter is drinking causes you to sweat. How? Well, it dilates your blood vessels which in turn increases your body temperature and of course with the increase in temperature, you're going to sweat more.

3. Drink Cold Water

If you drink water, cold water that is, you can cut down on your sweating in a big way. Why? Well when your body is sweating, it's just trying to regulate your body's temperature, but by drinking cold water, you help your body to do this job and thus reduce the need to sweat quite so much.

4. Say Goodbye To Spicy Foods

Ever eaten something spicy and wince? Ever notice how your eyes water? It's a built in reaction to tear up and sweat up since spicy foods stimulate your sympathetic nervous system. These nerves in turn signal your sweat glands to sweat as a defense mechanism. So if you don't want that going off, cut down on your spicy foods.

5. Try Sweat Pads

If you've had no success with any of the excessive sweating treatment methods above, you can always rely on sweat pads. They adhere to the insides of your shirts under your arms and catch all the sweat that tries to escape. This is great for stopping those sweat blotches on your shirts. - 16004
