Don't Try and Blame it on Your Age

By Ike Lowe

Factually speaking, as we age, our bodies change. As the change to our bodies become more apparent, we now have to worry about places of stored fat that we didn't have to worry about before.

When your metabolic rate slows, your digestive system doesn't work as efficiently as it used to.

There is one constant and this constant is forever present and that is that if you eat too much food and drink too much alcohol coupled with a sedentary lifestyle, you will gain weight. Also, the shape you're in can be affected by the hormonal changes in your body.

You cannot blame being overweight on your age. Age did not cause your weight problem. Look at the number of elderly people that remain slim, fit and healthy. Surely, you can understand that you cannot use your age as a determining factor for your weight problem, can't you?

Lifestyles create the body we have to live with and the effects of poor lifestyle choices are multiplied as we age because the abuse that we have been giving our body through poor food choices throughout our life accumulates with fat and other health related problems due to poor nutrition.

Maintaining your fat percentage at an optimum level throughout your life is what you should do. The dividends it pays are; A better quality of life, reduced dependence on medication, avoiding other health related expenditures as you age

Anyone at any age can benefit from improved nutrition and exercise.

You will live longer and happier by reducing the excess levels in your body fat.

You can turn back your body clock by beginning an exercise program coupled with an improvement in your nutritional intake. The most important part is getting started and the sooner you start the better. - 16004
