1. Carbs are bad because they make you fat:
Carbohydrates aren't all bad, it's just that some of the High G.I ones are bad, but you shouldn't judge the good ones by the bad ones.
Low G.I carbohydrates will not make you fat and are a good source of fiber and energy.
Refined product like sugar, white flour have a high G.I and therefore, raise your blood sugar and can make you store fat.
2. Its really bad for you to consume fats:
Omega 3's and omega 6's are good for you and are essential for positive health. Then their are harmful fats, the trans fats and saturated fats, which are totally bad for you.
Walnuts, Olives, Cashews, Avocados and Almonds contain the good fats. You can receive many health benefits including weight loss by eating plentiful amounts of these foods.
3. You must Turn Fat Into Muscle:
Now that's just malarky. Its impossible to turn fat into muscle and vice-versa. They are independent of each other.
Fat and Muscle are two very different things - It would be like turn an egg into an elephant.
4. You must Starve If You Want To Lose Weight:
False - Although fasting has some spiritual benefits, to lose weight one must eat often and in small portions. Starvation is a silly thing performed by over zealous weight watchers and they end up gaining weight at the end of the diet.
What you should do is eat smaller frequent meals. This way you will not overeat, you never starve yourself and you will build a metabolism like a Tiger - ROAR.
