Dr. Mehmet Oz and Acai Berry

Dr. Oz is said to be the heart surgeon with a big heart. He is said to be one of the most accomplished heart surgeons of our time. He was born from Turkish parents, and his heritage is of utmost importance to him. He has become extremely well known from the Oprah Winfrey show and his recommendation of the acai berry. Dr. Oz and acai berry seem to go hand in hand.

The Turkish diet which in past years was healthy and filled with fresh produce and grains has changed throughout the years. Turkish people have added meats, sugar, processed foods and are seeing more heart ailments. Dr. Oz is interested in getting the Turkish people back on track, and healthier eating patterns.

Dr. Oz as well as Dr. Perricone have proclaimed the acai berry to be the number one super food. The acai berry tree is found in the rainforests of Brazil growing on a specific palm tree. The natives of Brazil have been enjoying the benefits of the acai berry for many centuries. The past five years have seen a monumental surge of popularity for this healthy berry.

The acai berry is freeze dried or flash frozen soon after harvesting due to the fragility of the berry. The acai berry is loaded with nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, potassium, fatty acids and a very high doses of antioxidants. There are many products in the marketplace using acai berries such as powders, drinks, health bars and capsules.

The news is filled with Dr. Oz and acai berry. It is true that this little berry is extremely nutritious, but the jury is still out on the actuality that weight loss occurs. However, it is a great way to go to get one's daily requirement of vitamins and minerals. - 16004
