Post Menopausal Symptoms

Early menopause symptoms more often than not will feel similar to symptoms of pregnancy. Women who have been pregnant before will be familiar with those symptoms. That's why it is important to see a doctor if your body is experiencing changes that cannot be explained by pregnancy alone.

Early menopause symptoms are often referred to as perimenopause. Women will experience the early signs many years before the full blown condition is realized. Women in their 30's and 40's are especially known to experience these early cycles.

Perimenopause marks the onset of estrogen reduction in a woman's body. This will occur between 30-40 years. During this time ovulation will stop after which you should not experience menstruation. After you have not seen your period for an entire year then it is safe to say that you have full blown menopause. This is the most significant sign where menopause is concerned.

The most significant and early menopause symptoms are hot flashes, often also called hot flushes. This is the condition identified by excessive day and night sweats ,even if the environment is cool and comfortable.

A woman may experience blemish or prickled skin or red skin rash. You may also experience other symptoms such as, yeast infections, breast tenderness, depression, weight gain, insomnia and chronic tiredness.

It is also characterized by pain during sexual intercourse or a lower sex drive. The mood swings and cramps you may have experienced during menstruation is now amplified.

You will experience urinary tract infections. Other urinary related symptoms you may encounter is frequent urination or involuntary urination which may occur during daily activities like sneezing coughing and exercising.

Diagnosis : A doctor will check for hormone levels by performing the required blood test , although these test are 50/50 conclusive. The accuracy of the blood test can be increased by the frequency at which it is administered.

If you doctor confirms that your symptoms are related to menopause, then there are many early treatment courses that can be considered. Treatments such as HRT or hormone replacement therapy or surgical methods.

It would be better to consider all the natural health options prior to under going any man made treatments. There are many herbs and homeopathic remedies that will reduce the effects of the condition and provide relief. Any treatment should be accompanied by a consistent program of diet and exercise.

Early menopause symptoms should not be ignored , they should serve as a good indicator of what is going on in your body to allow you time to take steps to minimize or eliminate the effects.
