The Way To A Healthy And Wealthy New Year - Invest In You!

By Henry John

New Year is a time when we reflect on what might have been and give some thought about what might be. It's also a time of reckoning when all those things you've been putting off stare you firmly in the face demanding action. Are you going to do something about them or find a good excuse to carry on as you did before?

New Year is a time when many of us take stock of where we are and what we need to do. What is the state of 'Me Inc'? Have you invested wisely? Have you seen a good return on your investment? Have you neglected your investment? Is it in need of attention?

It's a sad fact that most of us live our lives on autopilot. The result is that we fail to 'notice' important things about ourselves. Our self-awareness is probably quite low. We have fallen into the trap of allowing things to 'happen' to us rather than being in control of our lives. We are guilty of neglecting or investment.

The start of a New Year is a very good opportunity to have a good, long, hard look at the state of your health and your wealth - bearing in mind that your wealth is your health! Me Inc can very easily suffer from neglect. When it does, it starts to perform badly. All too often it is the material things in our life that get more attention.

It needn't be this way. A New Year can be a timely prompt for change. It can be a time when you say goodbye to all your bad habits and start to learn new ones. It can be a time when you realize the true value of your investment and start to pay it proper attention. So, how is your health? How's your weight? Need to get rid of a few pounds? If you do there's no time like a New Year to make a start in getting rid of them.

So, if you are overweight, what are you going to do about it? If you don't want to be going through the same process in 2010, you need to lose weight permanently. Don't you think it's time to say goodbye to this annual ritual and make some real changes in your life?

Making change is not difficult. You have to want to make change or it won't happen. Try thinking of change as just another word for learning. After all life is all about change, isn't it?

Why don't you 'grab the bull by the horns' this New Year? Start by 'noticing' more about you. Try and identify the bad habits that contributed to you becoming overweight. This will help you to identify new habits - new slim habits - that will be the drivers for permanent weight loss. Learn new habits and you will be able to change your behavior. Behavior change is what will significantly improve the performance and the market value of 'Me Inc'. That's got to be a good start to the New Year! - 16004
