My friend,
If you need to overcome depression and regain control of your life I encourage you to read this.
You see the importance of this?
I'll tell you what's this about:
Back in 2005, at the age of 42, I was diagnosed with Major Clinical Depression after the passing of my father and 2 close friends within a period of few months. I was devastated, feeling lost, hopeless and helpless.
The actual diagnosis was not a shock to me, what threw me out of base was the realization that I had been depressed since I was a child. So I knew I needed help desperately.
I then realized that I didn't know how to be other than a depressed person. I had not idea of what not being depressed what's like.
I had no choice but to confront my fears and step right into my depressed mind set.
Was it scary?, you bet it was. Would I make it? was the constant question lingering in my mind.
When a person is depressed the last thing she thinks is, am I depressed?. Sad feelings and emotions make it very difficult to seek for help because your logical mind gets clouded and a lot of times it takes family and/or friends to pull you out and take you to the doctor.
Based on my clinical history it turned out that I have been depressed my entire life. Not good news.
After I while I realize that I could not remember the last time I was ever happy.
Once I got diagnosed I accepted the fact that it was the first step towards recover and a life richer and fuller.
Getting better became my daily mantra.
The long 5 years to recovery from depression are what this article and more to come are all about.
You will succeed the same way I did. It's hard work but hey, you are worth it.
Is it easy, no it isn't. I would not dare to insult your intelligence. Remember I've been there.
"If I could do it, so could you".
Of course and this is big disclaimer, I am in no way suggesting to take my advice literally and not seek professional help for your depression. My recovery occurred thank you to the outstanding support from health professionals and alternative medicine providers. - 16004
