How long does it take to build muscle?

By Westy

How long does it take to gain and build muscle mass? Questions like this often puzzles the minds of many aspiring individuals who simply want to have the perfect body fast. Yet, to answer this question, one must first put into consideration some variables that are of the essence when planning to build muscles.

Secret Key

The first factor could be on what you eat, how well you eat and when you eat? Eating patterns usually affect the rate of muscle development and the quality of the food that you eat also will matter.

Secondly, your genes will have to be considered as well. If your genetic predisposition dictates that you'll have a hard time to build muscles then it will take a relatively longer time for you to have them. Sometimes, the innate nature of each individual is a limitation that makes each and every one of us unique. We build muscles differently and obviously at different speeds.

Lastly, you must also consider the type of body that you have. In this connection, it is safe to say that there are several body types that an individual can originally have. One type may not be in tune with exercise and tends to develop slower compared to other bodies.

There are some people who gain weight quickly and have a difficult time gaining muscle. These people are referred to as an endomorph. This person will have to make sure that they are working to get rid of the fat on their body and uncover their hidden muscles. For this person, a fat burning plan is the first course of action.

There are others who are lucky enough to have the mesomorph body type. These folks are naturally more athletic and will gain muscle fast. These folks also do not have the problem of gaining fat fast and will usually only have to begin working out to see results.

Ectomorph is the complete opposite of endomorph. In here, the individual will build muscles slowest even if a huge amount of effort has already been exerted. Because you tend to have a faster metabolism, you look skinnier than most individuals.

All of these things will determine how quickly you gain muscle on your body. You should take your own body type into consideration when you are trying to gage how long it will take you to reach your goals. Keep working on your muscles and make sure that you are eating a healthy well balanced diet. - 16004
