Colorado Snow and More

By Qandishah Brown

The white fluffy stuff that comes just once a year during winter is something that you enjoy all the time in the State of Colorado. Located in the rocky mountain areas, only half of this state is flat. The rest are mountainous snow capped regions. This make Colorado the perfect place for all those winter sports that you love doing be it snowboarding or skiing.

Different areas in Colorado receive different amounts of snowfall but it averages at least a hundred; and even more for some areas. This plus about three hundred days of sunshine and the most skiable terrain provides for nothing but fun. Of course some of the most popular sports will include your classic downhill ski but you can all three types of cross country skiing.

There are other sports that you can do in the snow. Aside from your classic downhill skiing you also have the option of cross country skiing in Colorado using all three different styles. There is also snowboarding which is very popular with the younger ones. If you like animals and snow then dog sledding is definitely what you will want to be doing while you are in Colorado.

Other than the many snow sports you surely can't miss the festivals and shows that happen in Colorado. These can range from carnivals that will help you have a blast partying down to craft shows and fairs. Craft shows and fairs can be the perfect place for you to find that one of a kind keepsake that will remind you of your trip. You can also find things to bring back for family and friends here.

If your interest for these craft fairs goes beyond shopping, then you will still find a place for you in Colorado fairs. It's normal for both residents and non residents to take part in such things. It will be a good chance for you to let your creativity flow and share with others what you do best .Aside from watching others enjoy your creations you will also be making some extra money on the side. - 16004
